According to sources, the head coach of the Chicago Bulls Vinny Del Negro is done.  He’s not on the chopping block but rather he’s merely filling the void until a replacement can be found and hired. 

The Bulls have struggled with injuries with Hinrich, Rose, and Thomas throughout the young season.  Furthermore, the club just has not performed.  There was optimism that getting Tyrus Thomas back would help to infuse some energy into this club but giving up a 35-point lead to a mediocre Sacramento Kings team was the final straw for management. 

On a positive note for the Bulls, they did get Tyrus Thomas back on Saturday and he played very well pulling down nine boards and scoring twenty-one on ten of seventeen shooting from the field.
